All parts of this ceramic teapot set, other than the handle, is produced on a mini throwing wheel. And remaining steps of trimming, attaching, bisque firing, glazing and glaze firing mimics exactly the same processes a standard ceramic teapot set would go through. Like in all miniceramicsart teapots, this piece too has a filter where the base meets the spout.
 
All in all, this teapot, cup and the saucer has the very same qualities a standard one does have, just downscaled to miniceramicsart.
